Wow I like your work. I have some questions if you don't mind answering. How do sharpie art stand up to the elements? How long can they last? Did you put on any type of lacquer or top coat to protect the design? Are the sharpies waterproof? Hope you don't mind me asking too many questions. I'm thinking of designing my own custom board so hoping for your expertise inputs.

They stand up okay to the elements, It all depends on what kind of lacquer you use. Im still experimenting and trying to figure out which is the best. The best so far has been a spray on spar varnish for boats, its waterproof, has uv protection and it adjusts to temperature changes. The only thing you need to be careful of with whatever you use is to spray it on really sparingly for every coat, if you spray to much on it will make the paint run. it does tend to chip a little around the edges.
